It's not rocket science when it comes to most of the projects we car nuts work on. There are stick welders, mig welders, oxygen/acetylene welders and tig welders that we can have fun with and do it yourself, if you just knew how.

Yes, the first thing you weld will not look as good as the second or third thing you weld but "practice, practice, practice".. If you don't like the way it looks, just grind it off and start over.

Renting makes sense on an expensive tool that you don't need often. You might know how to weld with a stick welder but never tried a mig or tig welder. This is a chance to give it a try. I love to weld. It won't look as good as a pro but I can say I did it and SO CAN YOU.
