| Use the following guidelines to determine the seating capacity for tent selection. Sizes not shown can be calculated by adding sizes together to arrive at the total capacity. Cathedral seating would be if only chairs are being used. Buffet Style seating would be calculated if using rectangular banquet tables. Formal seating is calculated using 5ft diameter round tables. | |||

Tent Seating Arrangements
To maximize use of interior tent space, several seating arrangements are easy to accomplish. The following allowances are approximate. Your event and party rental professional can help you determine exact seating specifications.
Theater Seating
All chairs in rows: Allow 6 square feet per person
Classroom Seating
Tables and chairs in rows: Allow 6 square feet per person
Banquet Seating
Oblong/rectangular tables: Allow 8 square feet per person
Round tables seating 10: Allow 10 square feet per person
Round tables of 6, 8 or 12: Allow 12 square feet per person
Cocktail Parties & Receptions
With all guests standing: Allow 6 square feet per person
Some seated: Allow 8 square feet per person
Additional Space Allowances
Dance area: Allow 2-4 square feet per person
Bar area: Allow 100 square feet
Buffet area per table: Allow 100 square feet
Piano:
- Spinet: Allow 50 square feet
- Grand: Allow 100 square feet
